The Torre Don Vigilio Residence dates back to the 16th century and was originally built to serve as the fortified seat of a local lord. The antique property has since been restored.

During the renovation, particular attention was paid to keep the rustic elements of the property’s typical Sicilian architecture. The result is a stunning, exclusive retreat for guests who appreciate its uniqueness and show great care towards the property whilst enjoying its top-notch hospitality.Furthermore, the city of Modica is an ideal base for exploring the southwest of Sicily. The Torre Don Virgilio Residence contains a fantastic garden with well-maintained lawns, gnarly old olive trees, a sea of blossoming flowers and, in the middle, a lovely swimming pool.
The owners of the property have paid attention to every little detail. The residence is the perfect holiday domicile in which you are woken up every morning in summer to the sweet sounds of nature. The day begins with a typical Sicilian breakfast made with locally sourced produce, from honey to cheese to homemade baked goods.

Try out local produce

And indeed the many delicious bites to eat are a significant highlight of the Torre Don Virgilio Residence. Try out homemade cakes and gateaux, Sicilian specialities and regional spirits. Take part in one of the wine tastings and learn about the features of healthy olive oils. You are guaranteed to want to take a small supply home with you to indulge yourself in memories of your fantastic holiday in southwestern Sicily.
