If you have ever thought of booking a holiday in the South of Holland you will be very impressed with coastal towns such as Scheveningen, Katwijk and Noordwijk and fun parks like Madurodam, Keukenhof and Duinrell.
The majestic ‘Kurhaus’ in Scheveningen is a five star hotel which is without doubt the most beautiful building in Scheveningen. Located on the beach it hosts many important events. Whilst in Scheveningen it is also worth visiting the harbour district of Havenkwartier. If you want to take a bike ride through the dunes you are able to reach Katwijk and Noordwijk, two small coastal towns near Leiden. In both cities you can go shopping and relax in one of the bars on the beach with a sea view!
If you want to see all of the Netherlands in one day then you should visit ‘Madurodam’. Buildings, trains telling of the history and traditions of this beautiful country. The Nyenrode Castle, the castle of Drakesteyn, the Royal Palace, the Hilversum audiovisual museum and Amsterdam Airport are just some of the miniature reproductions that you can see in this park. If you love flowers then the botanical garden of Keukenhof in Lisse has rows of colourful flowers. Here seven million flower bulbs have been planted by hand. We advise a day out with the kids and visit to Wassenaar and the Duinrell theme park.
