Le Lac Bleu Holiday Park’s quiet location in Lacapelle-Marival is the perfect place for you to relax and recharge your batteries. While you sit outside on the terrace of your holiday home and plan the day ahead, your children will already have conquered the pool with the new friends that they made on the small sports field.
The resort also organises an activity programme for youngsters during peak season (July and August).
Out and about in Dordogne
Le Lac Bleu Holiday Park is the ideal destination for holidaymakers who like to combine relaxation with some exercise and cultural excursions. Lacapelle-Marival has all kinds of sights including the Château de Lacapelle-Marival that dates back to the 12th century as well as the parish church and the historic market hall. It is also worth taking a day to explore old picturesque villages like Rocamadour (Lot), Cahors or Sarlat, none of which are far from the resort. Explore the region’s grottos, caves, vineyards along various wine routes as well as impressive castles and palaces. The previously mentioned Rocamadour is an ancient place of pilgrimage, the history of which goes all the way back to the year 968. Climbing up the three levels over which the cliff-top village has been built presents a certain kind of challenge. Visit the Notre Dame de Rocamadour Chapel, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, and marvel at its stunning altar decorated with a black Madonna.
Swimming and sports
Le Lac Bleu Holiday Park has its own attractive swimming pool with a separate paddling pool and adjoining sun terrace. If you’re looking for sun and sand then you should head to the beach at the Lac du Causse. The surrounding region is also great for hiking, horse riding and mountain biking. On the northern edge of Lacapelle-Marival you can find a motocross track and a Minigolf course. The Lot and Cère rivers are well suited for canoeing. Golf enthusiasts are welcome on both courses at Saint-Jean-Lespinasse.
