The spaciously designed Kamemi Camping Village is located in Seccagrande, a popular seaside town on the south coast of Sicily. Tall eucalyptus trees are a typical feature of the resort and provide refreshing shade on hot summer days.
Even though the campsite is roughly 800 metres from the coast, you can still reach the beach quickly and comfortably. A shuttle bus provides a frequent service to and from the beach for free!
Regardless of whether you choose to spend the day on the Mediterranean beach or at the on-site swimming pool, you will certainly be able to relax under the Sicilian sun. Furthermore, a diverse range of leisure activities ensures variety and a change of pace. Last but not least, the rich culture of Sicily is just waiting to be discovered.
Pool or beach?
As soon as you arrive at the campsite, you will be greeted with open arms by the managers of the resort ─ brothers Fabio and Calogero d’Azzo. It is very important to the whole d’Azzo family to look after you and show you some typical Italian hospitality.
The Kamemi Camping Village contains a large swimming pool that offers cool refreshment in summer. Other leisure activities include billiard, tennis, boules and other sports on the on-site sports field. In the Mini and Kids’ Clubs, your children will be looked after by experienced entertainers who organise new and exciting activities for the little ones. Of course there’s always plenty of evening entertainment. Moreover, the previously mentioned shuttle bus won’t just take you to the beach and back but also in regular intervals to the city centre of Seccagrande. This gives you a chance to go shopping and discover the various cafes, ice-cream parlours and restaurants without having to look for a parking space.
Living with a terrace
The Kamemi Camping Village is a generously sized campsite with numerous mobile homes. The mobile homes on offer with Campingselection are located in a quieter section of the resort. A particular highlight is the large, covered terrace and stone grill that comes with every mobile home.
Orientata Foce del Fiume Platani National Park
The Kamemi Camping Village is just over a kilometre away from the town centre of Seccagrande. The medieval town of Ribera, located 9 kilometres away, is equally worth a visit. The stunning Orientata Foce del Fiume Platani National Park is the perfect place to go hiking. A day trip to Agrigento is an absolute must. The city has been a UNESCO world heritage site since 1997 and has a huge variety of sights to visit. The city is situated on a rocky hill that is divided in two halves by a deep valley. Discover churches, the city gate and the magnificent Via Atenea. In the “Valley of the Temples” you can visit the acropolis as well as other archaeological sites.
