Book a holiday to one of the many excellent campsites in the charming Istrian peninsula and a fantastic holiday is guaranteed!
Istria is one of the most popular destinations in Croatia. This really is a lovely area and in many ways very similar to Italy, in fact at the beginning of the 20th century it was still in Italian hands. Rovinj will remind you of the squares of Venice, while the inland villages will remind you of Tuscany. In Pula, easily accessible from the campsites, there is the magnificent Roman amphitheatre.
Istria really is something unique. The Brijuni islands, with mostly rocky beaches, form a National Park consisting of a rich flora and fauna. The perfect place to go on safari! Istria is also known for its truffles where in particular, Motovun, a beautiful medieval village, is full of truffle shops. Great souvenirs are also olive oil and wine. You'll love Istria!
Average summer temperature: 26 degrees
The smallest town in the world Hum (12 houses!)
Natural Park of Monte Maggiore
Truffle festival in Motovun

Cycling! Istria is rich in long rides, suitable for all ages. Following the bike path and you will come to the bay of Vestre, 5 km from Rovinj. Or you can ride up to the old station in Parenzana, currently occupied by a beautiful flower shop.
For shopping, you will find lots of small shops in Porec, whilst Konzum has larger ones. This city is also the best place to buy a ‘Bukaleta’, a clay jug for serving wine. Also in Pula you can have a good shop!
A fjord in Istria? This is a must see! The Lim fjord is 10 km long and is surrounded on both sides by steep mountains. Spectacular scenery can be seen by taking a boat trip.
Pršut Istrian ham is known all over the world. The quality is in the traditional preparation without using nitrates and smoke. This makes it one of the healthiest hams in the whole Mediterranean region!
