Discover the north of France
The advantage of a holiday in the north of France is the ease of getting there with so many great transport links- all the more time, to immediately discover the campsite, or one of the interesting and fun sights in the area. Nearby Calais, known for its ferry services to England, can be viewed from the pier or the beach and allows good views of the huge ferries that sail to Dover daily. Combine it with a visit to the town hall with the Belfry; a large tower that is so kitsch that it is almost beautiful again.
To the west of the city lies the Cap-Gris-Nez cliff and the chalk cliffs of Cap-Blanc-Nez. An impressive natural phenomena and in good weather you can even see the white cliffs of Dover! The historic Boulogne-sur-Mer is half an hour's drive from the campsite. Narrow streets, medieval city walls, a castle and the cathedral are a number of 'must sees'. And do not leave this nice seaside town until you have seen the beach and have eaten delicious fish in a restaurant near the fishing port. Yum!
