In Europe you will find countless beaches, but where is the most beautiful and cleanest? A good indicator is the Blue Flag. This flag symbolizes safe and clean beaches in Europe.
Each year, the Blue Flag is hoisted on over 4,500 beaches between France, Portugal, Italy, Spain and Greece. But what does this flag mean? The Blue Flag is an ecological mark that is awarded each year by the International Jury of the Foundation for Environmental Education (FEE). Does a beach have the blue flag? This means that it certainly meets these criteria:
Sufficient toilets and waste bins
First aid and rescue equipment available
Information activities for the protection of the sea, the beach and the dunes
Many of the campsites offered by Vacanceselect are in front of or near a Blue Flag beach!
