Nature lovers will find themselves in Les Landes. Vast pine forests and beautiful landscapes to explore by bike or on foot. If you want something more adventurous try the Natural Park of Les Landes. This park, located in the north of Les Landes with Gironde in the south, to the east of the Atlantic coast, covers a large area and provides its visitors with long exploring routes.

Definitely worth a visit are the seaside towns of Biarritz and Mimizan. The latter, in addition to the beautiful beaches and its pristine natural environment offers an exceptional historical heritage. The porch tower of the Priory is on the list of UNESCO World Heritage sites.
In addition to surfing you can also try canoeing, fishing, swimming and relaxing on the sandy beaches. For a day of culture, Bordeaux is the ideal city. And after a visit to the biggest square in France, Place des Quincunxes, why not order a glass of Bordeaux wine?

The highest dune in Europe, Dune du Pyla, is located about 107 metres above sea level. A really tiring climb, but the view over the bay of Arcachon Bassin is spectacular!
You cannot leave Les Landes without having purchased a pair of fashionable espadrilles. Les Sandals d'Eugenie in Biarritz have the largest collection. Colour, pattern, design, heel height, it is up to you!
Do you want to relax at least for a day? In the spa town of Dax, a town on the river Adour, you can enjoy hot springs and mud baths. Dax also boasts great monuments, such as the massive door to the thirteenth century cathedral of Notre Dame.
Tip: if you want to buy the local delicacies of the Landes is better to go to the market. The region offers the best products: champignons, porcini mushrooms, beef Chalosse, chanterelles, asparagus - everything is fresh. The specialty of the region, are the Pibales, young eels pan-fried.
