Swimming pool with sun terrace

Take your foot off the pedal as a guest at the Las Ardales holiday resort in Spanish Andalusia. Culture enthusiasts will find an abundance of stunning white villages and bird lovers will discover idyllic bird sanctuaries. The swimming pool on the rooftop terrace is the perfect place to relax.

In the summer, under the radiant blue sky of Andalusia, it can get very hot. Directly beside the pool you will find a Jacuzzi that ensures a change of pace with its bubbling water.

On the terrace you will find sun loungers and shades set up for sun bathing, reading or simply relaxing. A further highlight of the rooftop terrace is the unique views it offers over the village and surrounding hillside. Enjoy the magical light of the quickly setting sun or a nice glass of wine under the stars at night.

Well-maintained, comfortable living in a hospitable environment

Your holiday begins with a warm welcome at the reception. Just by glancing at the comfortable furniture in the lobby, you can tell that this is a place that will make you feel at home. A patio forms the central point of the apartment complex at Las Ardales Resort. Patios are typically Andalusian and can be found in the shape of attractive inner courtyards within many buildings. The patio is completely closed in by whitewashed residential buildings, inside which the holiday apartments are furnished in the typical Andalusian style. However, this doesn’t mean that you have to go without modern comfort in the bathroom or kitchen. Of course you can also access the internet through Wi-Fi.

Andalusian cuisine

If you would simply like to enjoy your well-earned holiday and not necessarily have to cook for yourself every evening, then that’s no problem here. Only a few feet away from your apartment you will find the market place in Ardales with its diverse range of restaurants. Here you can look forward to being spoilt with the delicious specialities of Andalusian cuisine. There is also a supermarket in the village that will cater to your everyday needs.

Andalusia is well known for its exquisite olive oil. In Ardales there is even a production facility where you watch the production of olive oil. It goes without saying that you should take a few bottles home with you. And on the topic of olive oil, don’t forget to pick up a piece of Serrano ham and Manchego cheese!

Sights and sunsets

The small community of Ardales formed itself around a hillside, at the top of which once stood a medieval fortress. On a short sightseeing tour you can visit the ruins, the Capuchin monastery and the Neustra Señora de los Remedios Church. The Bobastro ruins as well as the Castillo de la Peña and Castillo de Turón castles are equally recommendable. Nature lovers should not pass up chance to visit the breathtaking freely-suspended walkway known as the “Caminito del Rey” over the Desfiladero de los Gaitanes gorge. In the evenings it is worth watching the magically changing colours of the setting sun.
