Visit the beautiful island of Corisca, also known as the Île de Beauté! The landscape of this Mediterranean island is full of contrasts with steep coastal cliffs, mountain roads with a view of the sea and numerous beaches.
The sun always shines here in a cloudless summer sky. With the Mistral, Scirocco, Libeccio, Levante and Tramontoa, Corsica is, however, the island of the steadily blowing Mediterranean winds. The A Nuciola Residence is situated in Cervione on the east coast of Corsica. A short foot path leads the way through the dunes down to the beach. The central location of the resort is perfect for exploring the magic of the Île de Beauté on various day trips. Drive north to Bastia or to Bonifacio in the south.
Water sports and swimming
The A Nuciola Résidence has its own small swimming pool with a sun terrace. You will find more space for relaxed swimming at the nearby sandy beach that you can reach by a short path through the dunes. Go for long walks along the shore, take a refreshing dip in the crystal clear water and watch as your children build sandcastles and go paddling. At Moriani Plage Beach you can try out wind surfing and canoeing.
Wining and dining
Corsican cuisine is very rich and hearty. The Corsicans are very proud farmers who mostly sell their produce at local markets. They will gladly let you taste their products before you buy. Local specialities include olive oil and different kinds of sausages including Coppa, Figatellu and Lonza. Make sure that you try out some of the local cheeses such as Brocciu, a whey cheese made from sheep or goat’s milk. There are eight wine-growing districts on Corsica in which the grapes are used to produce red, white and rosé wine. You will be greeted with open arms and spoiled with culinary delights and warm hospitality in many Corsican restaurants. Don’t be surprised if you end up hardly using your apartment’s modern kitchen!
