The lush woodland surroundings of the beautiful Vechtdal region together with the gardens of local country manor houses and the Rechterense Veld Nature Park create the perfect backdrop for long walks and cycle tours. Have a look out for the special hiking trails designed for children, for example the “Wolf Track” (“Wolvenspoor”). Visit the beautiful village church in Dalfsen. In addition to the various shops, you can also pick up some delicious ingredients for a family meal at the Thursday morning market. Starnbosch Campsite serves as the ideal base for exploring the nearby leisure parks with your children including the Apenheul Wildlife Park, Emmen Zoo and the Julianatoren in Apeldoorn Leisure Park.
Go on a day trip to Biddinghuizen in the community of Dronten where you can try out the rollercoasters at the Walibi World Theme Park. Other attractions include the adventure park in Hellendoorn and the Ponypark Slagharen Leisure Park.
