Stunning safe beaches
Beaches were top notch ! Local access to Venice was great. Plenty of local facilities and restaurants outside the complex, within walking distance and short car/taxi journeys.Suggestions
We were the only English family onsite and although have no issues with that in principal we felt very isolated amongst a totally German dominated site. The location is great with a fantastic beach and the site facilities are spotlessly clean - however a number of issues would prevent a recommendation to other UK families. - the site to not permitted to be exited by car between 1-3 pm and you cannot leave before 7am which made packing for a 6am departure to catch return flights a real problem. - the children's play areas are closed between 1-3pm which seemed arbitrary when the pools and restaurants remained open ? - there is an automatic presumption from all the staff the you are a German visitor and we were made to feel very out of place and marginalised when it was discovered we were English visitors. The behaviour of some of the staff ( particularly the security team) and other visitors was, at times rather unpleasant and very rude. - the site makes no effort in their public areas to mitigate the mosquito problem. We had been expecting some issues having read previous trip reports, however , would have expected the public areas to have some type of neutralisation equipment , particularly in eating areas. The reps appeared uninterested in our stay with little effort to ensure our requested repairs were done , or that everything was acceptable during our stay - and we only found out from other visitors that we shoulh have been given water tap keys - which we were not. One exceptionally good point to note, however, was that the children's club team were first class. Energetic, engaging, enthusiastic and very welcoming. If only other members of the site team were this good !!
The outside restaurants were good and it was easy to get to the ferries for Venice.Suggestions
Having stayed on two other sites in the area on previous occasions I feel they are more spacious and the facilities were better. Espeacilly the shower blocks. The shower cubicles on Ca'Pasquali were constantly flooded out and the showers themselves were barely warm.
we have been there 3 times now and will be booking again this weekend for next year and we cant wait, we have being holidaying with you as a company for 10 years and noboby can beat you. AMAZING !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!Tips for surrounding area
