The Languedoc-Roussillon and especially this part: the Pyrénées Orientales with the Côte Vermeille was a source of inspiration from famous painters such as Matisse and Picasso. More water? A little walk and you dive into the Mediterranean! In the mini club at Camping La Croix du Sud is busy crafted and on the sports ground find the footballers of all nationalities each other quickly. And at night? Pyrénées-Orientales and Côte Vermeille
Do you want to go out by bike, a horse or do you prefer to take the car? You can go in all directions. In this border area with Spain, there were quite a few conflicts, so forts were no shortage. You will also find numerous abbeys and impressive gorges in the Pyrénées-Orientales; gorges that are worn out by rivers. A trip to Perpignan with the old town, the castle and many museums is very special due to the Catalan influences. Note the French/Catalan street signs! The old town of Collioure is simply magnificent and not for nothing loved by great artists such as Picasso, Matisse and Derain. Be inspired during your holiday at Camping La Croix du Sud!
