For a holiday in the mountains or a nature holiday Austria is the place for you. With the clear lakes near the campsites you can enjoy water sports and explore the area. The children will be very happy here with so many different activities available.

Camping among mountains

Camp in the beautiful nature of Austria and your day will always have a great start as the first thing you will see is the impressive view from you accommodation; mountain peaks, alpine meadows full of flowers, green coniferous forests and winding rivers. A beautiful lake is nearby where you can go fishing, swimming and sailing.

Fairy tales do exist

Austria is waiting to be discovered and the marked trails for children are great fun. In the mountain villages of ‘Tyrolean’ the atmosphere is warm and the people are friendly. Austria is the land of forests and castles where you can see open air museums, traditions and history come alive. Occasionally it seems like you're in fairy tale and for the best view of Innsbruck you should step onto the world famous Ferris wheel!

Tyrolean potatoes

Ingredients: 6oog of potatoes, 1 onion, 300 grams diced bacon, 80 g butter, 1 teaspoon marjoram, 2 tablespoons chopped parsley, 2 tablespoons butter, 4 eggs.

Fry the bacon in butter and boil the potatoes in their skins (10 min). Remove the skin and cut into thin slices. Sauté the finely chopped onion and add the potato slices and bacon. Season with salt, pepper and marjoram. Serve with fried eggs and parsley. It goes well with a salad of cabbage.
