Campings in Costa Dorada

Campings on the Costa Dorada

The most beautiful beaches...

Relax, sunbathe and swim. Choose a campsite on the Costa Dorada and enjoy the irresistible Spanish cuisine. Don’t forget to visit one of the beautiful towns or fishing villages!

Golden Beaches

On the Costa Dorada the beaches are wide and golden. ‘How do I get from the beach to the sea?’ you will ask yourself because the sand is so hot under your feet! How about a drink, take a nap or read a book under the parasol at the campsite? On the Costa Dorada you can relax and experience some of Spain’s fantastic cuisine. We especially recommend the fresh fish dishes!

Spanish Atmosphere

The Costa Dorada is much more than just sun, sea and sand! Tarragona offers many truly unique archaeological treasures: the Roman walls, the amphitheatre and the Roman theatre. In Barcelona you can admire the mosaics of Gaudi and go shopping. To taste the typical dishes, you have to go to the smaller fishing villages, easily accessible from the campsites, such as Sitges. Try fresh fish, seafood paella and ‘Crema Catalana’ for dessert. If you want to make the kids happy take them to the amusement park Port Aventura.

Port Aventura

Port Aventura is an amusement park near Tarragona, and is one of the largest theme parks in Europe! The park is divided into six thematic areas: Mediterranean, Far West, Mexico, China, Polynesia and SesamoAventura.

For the big names or unique products you need to go to Cambrils. This city is full of shoe stores, jewellery, books, chocolate and art that you will not find anywhere else. The best way to get from the port to the old city is the ‘Calle de la Corona d'Arago’.

Montserrat is a Catalan mountain and a place of pilgrimage to the famous Monastery of Santa Maria de Montserrat. According to legend, in 880 the image of the Madonna was found in the cave. Not only does the monastery of Montserrat have a significant religious value, but also the majestic nature that surrounds it makes breathtaking views. Don’t worry; you can reach the monastery by cable car!

Escalivada is a very tasty and healthy dish; a specialty of this region, prepared with grilled eggplant and peppers, cooked with olive oil and garlic. A simple dish but very good. Also try Catalan mussels and ‘Jamon Iberico’.
