The 4-star campsite Les Almadies in the Vendée is a medium-sized campsite with its 11 hectares, only 3 km from the beach of La Tranche-sur-Mer. In high season the shuttle bus from the campsite will take you in no time to this fine place with golden sand and a cooling sea.
You can also stay at the campsite, because the swimming paradise is geared to all weather types. A nice heated indoor pool with slides that is open all season and an outdoor pool where you can float in the sun in July and August. Fancy action? Dare to play a game of table tennis or challenge your French neighbor for a game of jeu-de-boules. The children make unforgettable memories of their friends from the animation club. There is plenty to do for every family member!

There are so many sports facilities on and near the campsite that you can hardly sit still. Play volleyball, basketball, tennis... or rent a bike! You can immediately explore the beautiful surroundings.
île de Ré and worth seeing Nantes! This piece of Vendée is easy to explore on the bike which you can rent on the campsite itself. La Tranche-sur-Mer, Longeville-sur-Mer and Angles are easy to reach on your two-wheeler. Score nice souvenirs or just sit down on a terrace. After all, it is your holiday! What you should not miss is of course a visit to île de Ré, known for its salt production, oyster farms and the Fort de la Prée from the 17th century. Fancy a day in town? Then go to Nantes where art, creativity and nature are central. There are more than 100 artsy parks and gardens and this city is a forerunner in tackling environmental pollution. The children have a great day in the 'Les Machines de l'île' theme park. Old shipyards have been transformed into large mechanical animals of which the 12-metre-high elephant is the most eye-catching.
